Deanna Scaler, Office Manager

Deanna is our resident customer service expert.  You can always count on her to have the answer to your questions.  Deanna handles all insurance and billing in the office.  She is an invaluable member of our office team.  Deanna has been with Abington Family Chiropractic Center since the early 1990s.  If you want to get on Deanna’s good side, bring her a good cup of hot coffee.

Deanna spends her free time relaxing with her husband and children.

Megan O’Brien, Receptionist

Megan joined our office team in 2010.  She is the friendly face greeting all our patients as they enter our door.  Megan makes our reception area a pleasant place to be while waiting for your appointment.

Megan spends her free time with friends and family.  She is very artistic, having received her degree in Art History from Arcadia University after graduating from Abington High School.  She enjoys creating her own jewelry designs.

Jonese Norman, Massage Therapist/Receptionist

Jonese joined the Abington Family Chiropractic Center team in August 2006.  She is a 2005 graduate of the National Massage Institute of Philadelphia.  She employs a variety of techniques in her treatment including Swedish and Deep Tissue.  Jonese also attended Hatboro-Horsham High School.

 Jonese, her fiance Charles, and son Braydan live in Philadelphia.

Kim Allen, Massage Therapist

Kim joined our staff in May of 2010.  She has excellent massage skills and has been taking wonderful care of our patients.  Kim graduated from the National Academy of Massage and Healing Services in Kulpsville, PA in 2007.  She also has a Masters degree in psychology from Springfield College.

Laura Miller, Massage Therapist

Laura joined out office in February of 2009.  Laura is a 2004 massage therapy graduate of DPT Business School.  She enjoys practicing massage therapy because she feels that it combines health, fitness, and well-being with her innate nurturing temperament.  

Laura is proficient in "Comfort Touch," a massage technique for chronically ill and elderly persons, as well as deep tissue, Swedish and other techniques.  She also has certifications in Reflexology, Raindrop Technique Aromatherapy, and Reiki Level 1.

Julie Ackerman, Massage Therapist

Julie joined our office in April of 2011.  She has extensive massage therapy experience, graduating from Cascade Institute of Massage and Body Therapy in Eugene, Oregon in 1999.  Julie also has a Masters degree in Fine Arts.

Julie possesses additional skills in Lymphatic Drainage techniques, Oncology Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, La Stone Therapy, Pregnancy and Postpartum Massage, Sabai Thai Ball Therapy, and Craniosacral Therapy Level 1.

Daniel Nemer, Acupuncturist

Daniel began his work study in Oriental Medicine at a private Acupuncture and Chinese herbal practice from 1996 through 2000.  He enrolled at the TAI Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts in 2001 and graduated with a Master degree in Acupuncture in 2004.  In June 2006, he left Philadelphia to become a member of a new team of acupuncturists practicing at sea.  Over the next five year on some of the largest floating cities, he treated people in the ports and seas of nearly every continent.  Daniel honed his skills with an ever changing international patient base that demanded results with only days instead of months to deliver.  He gave regular lectures on Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, and performed thousands of consultations and treatments.  "Acupuncture at Sea" has become a major force for the promotion of acupuncture worldwide, something Daniel is very proud to have been a part of, and hoped to continue for many years to come, promoting and practicing acupuncture here "on land."

Daniel sees patients at Abington Family Chiropractic Center on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays by appointment only.
